O W Loeb
O W Loeb is an independent wine importer, established in Trier in 1874 and London in 1938. The founder, Otto Loeb, was a noted German wine expert and friend of many great producers of the Mosel, Saar and Ruwer Valleys.
Today, the majority of O W Loeb’s German producers have been working with them since the original days of Otto Loeb and as such, they are very proud of their range of wines. O W Loeb offers over 250 different German wines from 13 different wineries in a portfolio that offers wines from some of the most respected producers in the Mosel, including Weingut Dr Pauly Bergweiler, Weingut Willi Haag, Weingut Sybille Kuntz, Weingut JJ Prüm, and Weingut Karthäuserhof.
As a small company, they offer a personalised service as a top class importer and supplier, and this attention to detail and dedication has been recognised by establishments such as Gordon Ramsay Holdings, The Savoy Hotel, Annabel’s Club, Harrods and some of London’s best restaurants including Le Gavroche and Nobu.

Carl von Schubert, Grünhaus, Ruwer
2003 Maximin Grünhäuser Abtsberg Riesling QbA £6.83
The estate of Grünhaus is one of the oldest in Germany, producing refined, understated Rieslings. This wine is packed with engaging pineapple and lime zest fruit which overlays a mineral base with faint suggestions of sea salt on the finish.
Weingut JJ Prüm, Wehlen, Mosel
2006 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlase £20.83
The estate of JJ Prüm is one of the most famous in Germany. Mineral, lively and incredibly long-lived, these are Rieslings that express their terroir beautifully and, given a little time to evolve, demonstrate great nuances and complexities.
Weingut Sybille Kuntz, Lieser, Mosel
1999 Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese £75.00 (375ml)
Sybille and Markus Kuntz-Riedlin are Riesling specialists, and their expertise shows through in this wine, which is a beautiful deep golden colour and has an incredible depth of flavour with a strong mineral backbone. At only 9% alcohol and with 250 g/l of residual sugar this wine makes a perfect special after-dinner treat.
